Female folk dances are performed with the accompaniment of female instrumentalists, or with dancers themselves playing tools such as tambourine, tabourine, spoon, tray, copper vessel, caldron, which can be used as rhythm instrument. Although female folk dances has a fast rhythm, it is important to keep a statesque and solemn posture. Male folk dances of Manisa are usually performed with slow zeibek songs of nine-time time signature. Tambour, clarion, baglama, violin, end-blown flut, clarinet and darbuka are the instruments accompanying the dance. “Üçleme”, “Beşleme”, “Atik”, “Eşme” are common figures of zeibek dance and they are also common in Manisa zeibek dance.
